Eight months ago a new island emerged from the sea to the south of Japan near Ogasawara. It started as a small eruption but it seems that it hasn’t stopped and it is still growing. It already has a surface of 1.3 square kilometers and scientists say that it is large enough to consider that it won’t disappear submerged in the sea. As of now, this new territory doesn’t have an official name. For the moment people call it 新島 (新: new, 島: island).
It’s been a very long time since I last watched a Japanese anime series. On the other hand I have kept watching animation movies. However right now I am finishing watching the first 13 episodes of Space Dandy. And I love it! It’s fun, surreal and easy to watch. An ideal show to relax and leave your imagination flow.
Dandy is an intergalactic bounty hunter, some kind of Han Solo. He travels in his space ship with a robot named QT and a cat from Betelgeuse named Meow. Dandy loves to go to “boobies”, a chain of intergalactic restaurants inspired by Hooters. QT is a robot whose software hasn’t been updated for years which makes him have human-like emotions. Meow is a lazy cat that likes to eat and spend his time looking at his smartphone screen.
Admiral Perry of the Gogol empire is the archenemy of Dandy, QT and Meow. He wants to catch Dandy because he thinks that he is the key for the future of the universe…
16th edition of my favorite photo series with brand new pictures of Japanese people caught sleeping in public. This time I had some photos caught in Winter and Spring but I still didn’t have enough photos to have a new post. Now with nice weather in Summer it was easy to complete this new round of funny photos. It seems like hot weather makes people doze off on the streets and in train stations 🙂
