Purikura

It’s been a while since I last used a purikura プリクラ machine. Last week we tried this last generation purikura booth with state of the art technology at Harajuku. First you enter a booth and the purikura system takes pictures of you, next you have to move to the “editing room”. In the editing room you have time to all types of filters, depending on the model it allows you to do certain things or not. For example, the one we used has an special algorithm that makes your face look like the face of the Japanese model Rola.

Kitty themed construction fence

I love when I find funny construction fences here in Japan. I think it is a good idea to have smiling characters in a fence that might annoy you because some construction has started and has changed the way you usually go home. I found this Kitty fence at Shinjuku station.

Design your own aroma

Aromatherapy is very popular here in Tokyo since a long time ago. Many profesionals dedicate their lives only to aromatherapy. Walking around Harajuku we found this shop called @aroma where you con touch sensors on the street and a fan expels the selected aroma letting the user sense it.

Inside the shop there is a system with buttons that allows you to combine different essences in order to create your own original aroma. Once you have selected the ingredients that you like you can buy your originally designed aroma bottle for 2000 yen.
