141 mascots gathered in Sasebo to beat the world Guiness record for most mascots dancing together. In Japan it is usual to create mascots to promote tourism in each prefecture; they are known as yuru-kyara, for example in Kagoshima they have Kajukansa to promote the oranges from the area.
To be able to beat the Guinness record they had to dance non-stop during five minutes with less than 5% of the mascots desynchronized. They failed at the first two attempts, as more than 5% of the mascots lost the beat of the music, but at the third attempt they succeeded:
