Nothing to do with Japan, but I came across this hilarious movie scene from the 1995 Indian movie Alluda Majaka, and it’s just to good not to post it:

This video was made by some students at a Japanese school using color post-its, a camera and a lot of patience. It reminded me of Paper Mario / Mario Story on the Nintendo 64.
