Itasha subculture fans not only do they decorate their cars with their favorite anime show decorations, but they also decorate their bicycles (Ita-charis) and motorbikes (Ita-bikes). Maybe it’s just because can’t afford to buy a car!

“Itasha” (痛車) are cars decorated with anime or video game characters. Itasha enthusiasts organize events where they share their best vehicle decoration techniques and some of them even compete in races. The word “itasha” literally means something like “painmobile”.
