Teriyaki hamburger

At Japan’s McDonalds there is a hamburger that is not offered in other countries, it’s the “teriyaki” hamburger. It was not an original McDonalds idea, it was invented by Mos Burguer more than thirty years ago when they tried mixing hamburger meat and “teriyaki” sauce. The “teriyaki” sauce is generally made with soy sauce, sake and honey.

This is a “Mega teriyaki”.

Giant jellyfish

“Echizen Kurage” in Japanese or “Nomura’s Jellyfish” in English are the biggest jellyfish in the world, they inhabit between Japan and China’s sea. Nomura’s Jellyfish can as big as two meters and weight 200 kg. Autumn is the season when more Nomura’s Jellyfish can be seen (they usually get trapped into fishermen nets). Next, some impressive pictures taken by Sankei:

At Pinktentacle they explain how fishermen use these giant jellyfish when they get trapped in their nets, they eat them!

Jellyfish soup 250 yen, jellyfish yogurt: 150 yen, raw jellyfish 150 yen.

This Japanese guy took some pictures while eating sweets with jellyfish. One of the most interesting pictures is this one, where the “jellyfish thing” is marked.
